Proverbs 14: 1 The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.

I wonder how often we have torn down our own houses without thinking about it.. without meaning to...
how often do our negative words.. our nagging drive those we love away from us... how often are we yelling more than we are encouraging...

we sometimes think we are better off alone because of things we have lived through.. because of being hurt... but many times we find that we would rather not be alone after we have broken our family beyond repair without meaning to...

God is in the restoration business... if we can change our words and learn to build up people rather than tear them down.. if we can realize that an empty ice tray is really not a big deal in the big picture... and instead of complaining.. just fill it and keep our mouths closed... we may find we have a happier house than we did when we were pointing out all of the wrongs that others were doing... then God can restore things to us.. if it is His will..

but we may have to change what we see as something that matters... we may have to clean a little more.. we may have to cook a little more.. we may have to replace arguing and complaining with encouraging and kind words...
sometimes... it is worth being a better person to keep your house together... rather than tearing it down with our own words and actions...
